I’m overjoyed to be releasing my first video mini-course today. I’ve aptly named it ‘Reversing Your MS’ because this is exactly what happens when you launch into this change of lifestyle. The body is able to heal itself so much more effectively and MS takes a backseat.
I’m sure you have one question milling around in your mind right now.
Can MS actually be reversed?
This is something that I’ve given a great deal of thought to in the last few years. Can the process that causes my MS actually be reversed? I’ve spoken to many women who have been for a follow-up MRI after starting the MS diet way of life. To their absolute amazement they have found that some or all previously active lesions have vanished.
In my view, this is evidence that a reversal process is taking place. Hence the power of an anti-inflammatory, whole foods diet.
The reversal process shows that three important changes are happening in the body.
ONE: The overall level of inflammation in the body has decreased which means that MS symptoms and relapses are less likely.
TWO: The body is working more efficiently and healing itself at a faster rate. I think we can safely say that when the rate of healing is faster than the rate of progression, MS is reversing.
THREE: The actual auto-immune process that gives rise to MS is now in reverse mode. Auto-immune activity is thought to result from a leaky gut, hormonal imbalance, nutrient deficiencies or a hidden virus. Basically it can be put down to one or more faulty processes in the body that can cause it to start attacking itself. Getting those processes back on track with the right food and supplements stops the root cause of the auto-immune reaction.
All we really want is to be able to stay well with MS and have a good quality of life. We want to be the best version of ourselves and feel energetic, vibrant and competent at what we do in life. Everyone has a right to live this way but it really does come down to the daily lifestyle decisions that we make.
